• UNM EMS Academy is offering an EMT-Basic course at the Agua Sana Fire Station (Hernandez) from October 8 through February 14 on Wednesday evenings 5:30 - 9:30 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. • 300th Anniversary of Acequias in Our Valley - Calling all Acequieros in our watershed and everyone else in our Jicarita watershed to come and share in the celebration of the 300th Anniversary of our Acequias on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at the Saint Anthony’s Church Parish Hall in Dixon. Festivities start at 11:00 AM and will continue throughout the day.

•  New Mexico Acequia Association’s traveling office hours, scheduled for today, September 4th in Mora, is being postponed due to the recent flooding in Mora County. The next one is scheduled for September 9th in Dixon. Click here for more details.

• One Straw Farm is selling produce for pickup at the farm in Dixon on Fridays.  Currently offering summer squash, herbs, tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, greens, onions, garlic and more.  Place your order on our website by 11 AM, Friday for pickup any time after 4 PM.
