• Richard Holland, long-time resident of Ojo Sarco, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7th, with one long last breath.  Rich is the son of Frank and Rosemary Holland, also once of Ojo Sarco.  Rich was 83.  It was his wish not to have a funeral, but the Rosary will be prayed for him at the Las Trampas Church on Saturday, May 30th at 3:00.  Rich wished that friends would gather to celebrate his life, in due time, at the Ojo Sarco Community Center.  Please join us for this on Saturday, July 11th. • Rio Arriba County Sheriff Candidate Forum Wednesday, May 27th, 6:00 in the Embudo Valley Library Community Center.  Meet the candidates and learn about their vision for public safety, law enforcement and leadership: Lorenzo A Aguilar (D), Marvyn V Jaramillo (D), Monica L Salazar(D), Manuel G Valdez (D), and Robert R Vigil (R).  Doors open at 5:30.

• Please Please proofread your Town Crier submissions before hitting 'send'!  Especially double-check phone numbers.  An incorrect phone number inconveniences both the person calling and the person who owns the wrong number, not to mention The Town Crier who must field inquiries and post a correction.  I've received three submissions with incorrect phone numbers since I last made this request just two months ago.
