• Animal tracking and nature walk for ages 7-12 Tuesday, July 16th, 8:30-11 hosted by the Embudo Valley Library.  This is an off-site field trip, we will meet at the Abrevadero parking lot (box canyon).  Directions available.  Please reserve your child's spot in advance by emailing [email protected].

• Chicken Tractor, chickens, accessories for sale:  Full Chicken Tractor setup: Tractor about 6'x8' lightweight and easy to move.  Roosting area enclosed for weather protection.  Move it daily and the chickens will eat weeds and grass, fertilize, control pests.  Six one-year-old daily layer hens, one rooster (polish/red cross).  Watering can and aluminum trash can for feed included.  $300.  Can deliver.  Call or text Matthew: 360-421-8162.

• DAPS learned today of the passing of a dear friend. Dr. Dwight Hooton died this morning from a complication from his near fatal car accident a few years ago. Many of you have met him, whether it was for in-home vet visit for your dog or cat or horse or cow. He was both a large animal and small animal vet. He was a kind, compassionate, funny guy. He was one of the veterinarians we called on to do in-home euthanasia because he cared and he made saying goodbye to a beloved pet just a little bit easier. For us this is a loss we feel deeply. Dwight, my friend, I hope you’re back on that horse and riding into the sunset With a grin on your face. You will be missed more than you know.
