• The Peñasco Food Bank won't be happening next Wednesday, August 26th due to the county paving the parking lot.  The next food bank will be the 2nd Wednesday in September, the 9th.  For info call Alan 505-480-3846.

• The Revozo flamenco group will be appearing at the Santa Rosa Fiesta on Saturday, August 29th at 12:30.  Details here.

• Dixon Cooperative Market is looking for a shed.  We have a couple of places we could put one for outside storage.  If you have a shed you aren't using, please consider donating it to us!  Contact Clark at the store, 505-579-9625. 

• Wind event Thursday afternoon: A sudden, brief, isolated wind took part of the roof off of a house in Embudo and deposited it a couple of hundred feet away.  An adjacent property had stuff blown all over the yard.  The wind was accompanied by a loud noise and darkened sky.  It is not clear if this was a meteorologic event, or caused by a low flying aircraft.  Did anyone else in the Dixon area see, hear, or experience this event?  If so, please e-mail [email protected].

• Update on the missing goats: they all came back yesterday morning in good health! Our friend was cooking breakfast and they appeared right outside his window. Thanks to everyone who had eyes out for them and helped with the search!
