  • The County-wide Burn Ban has been lifted by the Rio Arriba County Fire Chief.  Outdoor burning will be allowed on weekend days during daylight hours with a valid burn permit.  Burn permits must be phoned in to Central Dispatch (505-753-5555) before starting a burn.  No trash burning allowed.  All burns must be attended with a reliable water source.

  • Canyon Coffee at New Mexico River Adventures opens today (Saturday).  Come by for all your favorite hot and cold coffee drinks, smoothies and other blended deliciousness.  Open daily 8:00-1:00.  2273 NM-68, Rinconada

  • Dixon sculptor Brian Barreto will be doing a stonecarving demo today (Saturday) from 11 to 3 at Sun & Dust during the Canyon Road Spring Arts Festival.  There will be many New Mexico artists doing their thing out on the road - support local arts!  Public parking across the road.  223-1/2 Canyon Rd, Santa Fe

  • Saturday STEAM! Richard Kline will be there with fun things to view microscopically, Dr. Steve Cox is leaving for a fun vacation so this is his last day with us until Fall.  Come and learn about EV3 Lego Mindstorm Robots and you can learn 3d design with Tinkercad.  Family fun for everyone at the Embudo Valley Library, 10:00-noon.

  • Box Canyon Barbies is having a very special concert at Mary’s Place in Taos on Saturday, May 17th at 7:00.  The proceeds will help fund our first tour to California in July.  Come support us and have a blast.  Your Dixon local band is taking to the world!  We will be playing live on KNCE (93.5 FM) on Friday, May 16th at 8:20am to promote the show.  Stay tuned.  Get your tickets here.
