>9:00-2:00 - Wetland Restoration Workshop: Community and Youth Day at Arroyo de la Mina in lower Dixon.  This is a hands-on workshop.  RSVP here.
>10:00-12:00 - Saturday Morning STEAM at the Embudo Valley Library.  Help us plant our spring bed and view fun things microscopically with Richard Kline. 
>5:00-7:00 - The Steady Rollers at Vivác Winery.
>7:00 - Box Canyon Barbies very special concert at Mary’s Place in Taos.  The proceeds will help fund their first tour to California in July.

• Burn Ban this weekend: The Rio Arriba County Fire Chief has declared a County-wide Burn Ban for this weekend (May 17th-18th) due to forecast high winds.  No outdoor burning will be allowed, with or without a Burn Permit.  Report any outdoor burning to 9-1-1 and Dixon VFD will respond.

• Reminder: Dixon Volunteer Fire Department annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser tomorrow (Sunday), 8:00-noon at Mission Embudo.

• Updates from the Embudo Valley Library:
  >>Saturday STEAM. Today will be the last STEAM for this academic year.

  >>Afterschool - The last date for the program will be Wednesday, May 21st. Thank you for joining us for such a wonderful year with Sage and Brynn!
  >>Summer Reading Program - Our program will begin Wednesday, June 11th.  We will have scheduled programming each Wednesday and Saturday through July 26th.  Our calendar will be posted soon.  Please feel welcome to register at the Library at any time.  Registration materials are at the front desk.
  >>Community Input Survey - Thank you to the many people who came to share ideas and thoughts on the 15th.  You are welcome to continue to provide feedback.  Surveys are available at the Library!

• Santa Rosa Fiesta information:  Fiestas will be held in Dixon the weekend of August 23rd-24th.  We are looking for young ladies who are interested in running for Jr. Queen and Princess - interested individuals should e-mail [email protected].  The committee is also seeking donations for the Fiesta Raffle.
