Outdoor burn ban is in effect for the Labor Day weekend for the Dixon Fire District and all of Rio Arriba County. No outdoor burning permitted (with the exception of outdoor grilling) with or without a permit. Report outdoor burns to 9-1-1 and Dixon VFD will respond.
If you haven't made it to the Peñasco Valley Farmers Market, its a great day to come! We'll have a Rock, Mineral, and Fossil exhibition with local rockhound Harold Brito. Kids encouraged! Bring rocks, and questions! Also, delicious baked goods, fresh produce, sacks of green chile, and homemade sopapillas and more!
