  • Please join us for an End of Life Celebration for Brandon Santos (Brandy) at the Toolshed on Sunday, September 15th from 1 to 4. There will be enchiladas from Zuly's, pizza from Blue Heron and music by The Pathetics.  Bring a salad or dessert if you wish to contribute.

  • Joe Ciaglia, 77, photographer, professor, author, and artist passed away on September 4th in Taos.  He succumbed to Parkinson’s Disease - no doubt due in large part to his many years of exposure to darkroom chemicals.  He taught for many years at UNM Taos.  His text books on digital imaging were used for many years in universities across the country.  He was a resident of Dixon and Apodaca for 16 years.  Many of his iconic panoramic landscapes were taken in that area.  A childless cat man, he would have loved to have voted for the ticket opposed to JD Vance and that other guy.  Submitted by Sheena Cameron.

  • Cheese & Wine Pairing Saturday, September 14th, 2:00-3:30 at Black Mesa Winery.  Register by Tuesday.

  • UNM Sustainable Food and Agriculture will be holding a fermentation workshop next Saturday, September 14th, 12 to 3 on creating wines and ginger soda with your surplus fruit juices.  They will be showing how to ferment surplus fruit into wine and how to make a ginger bug to be used to carbonate juices.  The workshop will be held at Jeff Cochran's farm in Talpa.  Space is limited. RSVP to [email protected] ASAP.  $20 fee for hands-on fermentation!

  • Get-Out-the-Vote letter writers will meet next Friday, September 13th, at the Embudo Valley Library Community Center at 5:00 to get out the vote in November.  Everyone is invited. Please let me know at [email protected] if you want to write letters this month so we will know how many letters to print.  If you would like to write letters but would rather write them on your own, please let me know and I will get the letters to you.  Either way, Thanks very much.
