Embudo Valley Town Crier

Thursday, November 13th

Today:

>10:00-11:00 (note new time) - Gentle Yoga with Susan at the Embudo Valley Library Community Center.
>5:00 - Embudo Valley Library and Community Center work session at the Community Center and via Zoom.  Agenda with Zoom link here.

  • Special Horno Workshop with Henrietta Gomez of Taos Pueblo this Saturday, November 15th, from Noon to 4 at the Embudo Valley Library - celebrating the beauty of traditional horno baking.  The smell of fresh bread from a horno oven connects generations. Come celebrate that connection by learning how to make bread, biscochitos, and empanadas; and take home more than just recipes - take home tradition.  This event will be outside at the newly built Horno, between the Library and the Community Center.

  • Farmers market update: Due to the government shutdown we haven’t been able to reinstate our food assistance program capabilities.  It’s been decided to wait until the turn of the year to make the necessary applications to SNAP, EBT, WIC, etc.  At that time there will be a call for someone to step up to oversee the market’s operation (market manager) as well as someone to oversee the food assistance programs.  We can fill you in on what those tasks entail.   Call or text 707-322-6337.
