>6:00 - Annual membership meeting for Rio Embudo MDWCA at the Embudo Valley Library Community Center (behind the Co-op).  Agenda 
>6:30 - Cedar Koons reads from her newest addition to the Sheriff Ulysses Walker mystery series at the Embudo Valley Library. Refreshments. Books will be available.  

  • Zuly’s cafe will be serving Pork Tinga (Chipotle Pork) for the next few weeks. We will have live music this Friday featuring John Lewis and friends from 3 to 5.  See you soon @ Zuly’s! 

  • La Segunda Thrift Store will be putting out new items everyday this week.  We have more fall clothes from Reneux, along with sweaters, shawls, and overalls.  Come have a look!

  • Doc and Cornman's old punk band Barnacle Choir will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of their first release at the Toolshed tomorrow (Friday), 7:00.  Come watch us try to relive our youth.

  • The Fletcher & John Trio will be playing at the Taos Inn this Saturday, 6-9.

  • The epic monthly Toolshed Open Mic this Saturday, 7:00, with Cornman, Doc and Will, and extra-special guests.  All musicians, poets and performers welcome.

  • One Straw Farm is selling produce for pickup at the farm in Dixon on Fridays.  Currently offering greens, roasted green chile and sweet peppers, winter squash, sweet and hot peppers, onions, garlic, powders and more.  Place your order on our website by 11:00 a.m. Friday for pickup any time after 4:00.

  • Notice from Dixon VFD: The Santa Fe National Forest will be conducting a prescribed burn 4 miles south of Truchas and 10 miles east of Chimayo on Forest Road 306.  Planned ignitions will be October 22nd through the 24th.  Smoke will be visible from Peñasco and the surrounding communities.
