• The NM State Forester has implemented Statewide Fire Restrictions.  Rio Arriba and Taos counties will not be issuing any new burn permits until the restrictions are lifted.  For more information please visit the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department website.  Restrictions apply to private land and state parks and land due to unseasonably hot weather, wind, and dry fuel conditions.

• Sacred Chanting this Sunday, April 19th, 4-5 at the Carnelian Center. This Sunday, in connection with Earth Day, we'll be singing various chants that honor the earth.  Donations welcome for Amigos Bravos, who protect and preserve the waters of New Mexico.  For more info, call Susan, 505-795-9061. 

• CPR class: Dixon VFD/EMS will offer an American Heart Association BLS Provider Class on Tuesday evening April 28th at 5:30 at Dixon VFD Station 1 (183 NM-75).  The class is 3 hours.  The class will be facilitated by DVFD Chief Steve Jenison, Paramedic, MD.  No fee required, but a donation to the Dixon Community Fire Department 501(c)(3) will be appreciated.  RSVP [email protected] subject line “CPR class”.
