  • Call for repartimiento: The river is low, dry at the NM-75 bridge and la Plaza ditch.  Other acequias are calling Acequia de la Apodaca to “release” water.  This needs to be a valley wide effort.  Acequia de la Apodaca is calling to start el reparto this Sunday.  We will meet as usual at 0800 at the river at County Road 70.  I do not have an up-to-date list of commissioners, please share this with your commissioners.   See you on Sunday.  --Adam

  • La Segunda Thrift Store is having another $5 bag sale Wednesday-Saturday, April 29th-May 2nd.  Pants and skirts, all that you can stuff in a bag for $5.  See ya there!

  • The Fletcher & John Trio will be playing this Friday, May 1st at Embudo Valley Vineyards, 4:30-6:30.

  • Taos Onstage presents one of Broadway's longest running musicals "The Fantatsticks", with local actor Jeff Spicer, at the Wildflower Playhouse in Taos April 30th-May 3rd and May 7th-10th.  Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2.  Details here.

  • Attention local musicians:  if you have upcoming gigs scheduled in the area, send the info about the engagement(s) to the radio station at [email protected] and we'll compile a list of upcoming appearances for the DJs to read on the air.  Also, KLDK is looking for new programming, so if you'd like to DJ a show, read your poetry, stage radio plays, interview your interesting neighbors, on a regular basis, send your ideas to [email protected]. Let's make our community radio even better!

  • From the Embudo Valley Neighborhood Watch Program (EVNWP): There was a break-in at the Department of Transportation (DOT) Office in Rinconada, NM on April 4th.  Several large chains were stolen.  If anyone has information on this break-in or recognizes this individual, please contact Officer Bustos at the New Mexico State Police, 505-425-6771, or Celso Archuleta, 505-927-5564, or email [email protected].
