  • Christmas Tree permits now available for purchase on-line for the Carson National Forest.  Complete information here.

  • La Segunda is taking donations of gently used and new coats for kids.  This is our annual drive to help those in need in the Dixon, Peñasco and surrounding areas.  We need all sizes, from Elementary to High School.  Hats and  gloves are also needed!  Please drop these off at the store between 10 and 4 Wednesday-Saturday.  Gracias!  We appreciate our generous donors!

  • Looking for three Jacob Sheep ewe lambs to purchase.  Please text Nancy Joan Brighid at 719-849-3239 if you have or know of anyone that does keep Jacob sheep.

  • Wandering dogs near the NM-75/NM-68 intersection:  DAPS receives alerts regarding these dogs everyday.  They are living at the old El Quinto Sol on Drive 1105.  If you see them in the road and can pick them up or call them, they will follow your car.  Bring them home if you can.  We are working on getting them to stay home with kennels or other containment or tie out.  Thank you for your patience.  Bosco is the tri-color and the leader, Tallulah, the tripod, is super sweet, loves the river.  505-699-0334 for questions or offer to help.
